"What do we do, what do we do; what do we do?!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, bouncing up and down in panic. I shook my head "Yeah, cus I'm so sure screaming at the top of your lungs and panicking will help us right about now" I said, rolling my eyes. But Aston didn't cease his continuous bouncing. Sighing, I clamped my hands down on my best friend's shoulders, forcing his feet to stay firmly on the ground. "Will you just calm down Ast?" I asked him tiredly. He seemed to catch onto my mood, and nodded his head slowly, easing his breathing back to normal.
"Sorry Franks, you must really hate being mobbed, right?" He asked me, smiling like a little boy. I smiled back, trying to make it reach my eyes. "It's not that bad, I'll get used to it sooner or later" I told him, removing my hands from his shoulders and walking to the window, peeking out into the sodden gray day. "I've known you for five years, and you still haven't gotten used to it." I heard Aston mumble to me, I turned from my sad reflection in the double glazed glass to an equally sad faced Aston; I smiled and walked back to him. "Ast, I told you it was gonna take a while, I guess I just don't like people being in my space every day"
"Why's that Franks? Seriously, sometimes I wonder why you even bother to come outside!" he laughed, leaning against the marble counter of my little café. I grinned, his laugh always made me happy, Aston was my little portable ball of sunshine and happiness. "You know me, I love my friends, and I enjoy being with them, but I also keep to myself a lot." He started to talk, but I hurriedly placed a hand over his mouth as a screaming group of girls ran past the outside of the room. After they'd gone, Ast removed my hand from his mouth and held in in his.
"Just another day in the office this is, right?" he said, before walking into the kitchen and putting the kettle on. I watched him go, letting my gloomy sadness come back inside me. "Yeah, just another day in the office" I whispered to myself, turning towards the window yet again and pulling the curtains away. I don't know why I'm always so sad; I guess I'm just that type of person. I'm fine if I have other people around me, like Aston and the boys, or my best girlfriend Tineka, but without them I sink into sadness.
It was just another dreary day, like every day England has, but today was the day I had decided to show Aston the café. He wore a disguise, a grey hoodie with the hood over his face, and some faded jeans, it was a good idea; but I had no idea he didn't know how to blend in with the crowd. "Everybody in love, gone put your hands up!" he had sung as we walked quickly through the streets, dancing and laughing. "Shh will you!" I cried, but it was too late, his cover was blown; and we were in some deep shit. The first scream from a girl not 5 metres behind us, then more and more screams followed until the all merged into one horrible noise.
"Run!" I yelled desperately, grabbing his hand and dragging him into an alleyway, pushing him behind a bin. We hide there as the girls ran past, and then snuck into the café, of where we'd remained for at least half an hour. The whole "keep quiet or we're dead meat" talk we'd had didn't seem to have sunk into his head, so he continued to sing, until the girls began to ram at the door. Only then did he scare himself into silence, at least I kept a book behind the counter, or I'd have been bored to death.
The rain drizzled down against the window as the wind whistled through the gaps in the trees. I lent my forehead against the cold glass, wrapping my arms around myself. My breath fogged up the glass as I took in shaky gasps; why did I always go to pieces this way?
The sound of Aston clearing his throat had me jolting back to reality. I turned round to see him carrying a tea tray, brimming with Butterscotch, malt biscuits, cookies, sweeties, chocolate, muffins and cupcakes, and just barely visible beneath the food; two steaming mugs of tea.  A laugh burst from between my lips as I took in his expression, you could barely see him over the mountain; only to top of his head showed. "You decided to raid my storeroom right?" I said between the spasms of laughter, I bent over and put my hands on my knees to stop from falling. "What, I got hungry!" he said in mock defence.
"Yeah, yeah" I said, waving his attempts away. "Come one then, you made the mountain, now we gotta climb it"
He grinned as we settled down laughing onto the love seat and began to munch our way out of house and home; and biscuits for that matter.
I donno where this came from, but i'm pretty happy with it.
